ABOUT VALTER TORJAY
I obtained a BA degree in pedagogy in 1988, then an MA degree inthe history of art in 2002.I have b this style is still connected to emotions instead of cynism cohich is so fashionable today. I prefer traditional art techniques therefore in the first place work with oil, monotyp, India ink and pencil. Besides symbolic compositions I paint landscapes, portraits, still lives and enterieurs as well, though it is considered degrading by a few, for me they give pleasure. On my drawings my sudden ideas can be seen. These days in Hungary this kind of art is despised, but I do not really care for the opinion of the avantgarde academism for today I think my art is the real avantgarde. As an art historian I write studies about the furniture and the tombstones of the historic era.
