Der Künstler
Wolfgang Balatsch wurde am 25.September 1971 als Sohn eines Volksopernsängers und einer Bankangestellten in Wien geboren. Der väterliche Familienzweig ist künstlerisch der Musik sehr zugewandt, so sind aus diesem ein Chorleiter, ein Opernsänger, ein international erfolgreicher Chordirektor und eine leider kürzlich verstorbene Malerin hervorgegangen. Im mütterlichen Stammbaum sind der Leiter der Salzburger Sommerakademie, ein Maler sowie eine bildende Künstlerin zu erwähnen. Wolfgang Balatsch hat erst einen anderen Weg eingeschlagen und seine Ausbildung als Ingenieur für Elektrotechnik am TGM Wien XX abgeschlossen.
Die frei-künstlerische Tätigkeit von Herrn Balatsch begann vor mehr als 15 Jahren mit Aquarellmalerei, die im Laufe der Evolution in Acryl ihren Werdegang fand.
Die Bilder
Das abstrakte Werk des Künstlers steht im gesamten als Gefühlsoffenbahrung im Raum. Diese umfasst das gesamte Spektrum von düster/abgründig bis fröhlich, leuchtend und strahlend. Die Namen der Bilder sind nur als Momentaufnahmen zu sehen. Jeder Betrachter sollte seine eigenen Ansichten und Gefühle darin entdecken. Als weitere Inspirationsquelle für sein schaffen dienen dem jungen Wiener oft Grenzerfahrungen aus dem Hochgeschwindigkeitsbereich mit seiner 900cm³ Yamaha TDM. So erklärt sich auch sein Motto: „ no risk no fun “
The artist
Wolfgang Balatsch was born on the 25th of September in 1973 as the son of a vocalist of the Vienna Folk-opera and a bank official. Concerning the paternal side of his family, which is strongly related to the art of music basically, you find a head of a choir, an opera singer, a internationally successful choirmaster and a paintress who deceased unfortunately recently. For the maternal pedigree there are to be mentioned the director of the “Salzburger Sommerakademie”, a painter as well an interpreter of the fine arts. In former years his ways of life lead Wolfgang Balatsch through the training on electrical technology at the TGM in the 20th district of Vienna that he determined as an engineer. At present his domain of activity is again the creative range, as the marketing manager of a soft- & hardware distributing company.
The free-artistical representation of Mr. Balatsch started with aquarelles more than 15 years ago, continued to evolve in acrylic painting and reaches its climax in the work presented here right now.
The paintings
As a whole the artist’s abstract work is floating in space as the manifestation of emotions. The latter incorporates the entire spectrum from dark/abyssal to light-hearted feelings, combined with bright and radiant colours. The paintings’ titles are to be seen just as the grasping of moments. Every single person should discover his/her own points of view and sensations. As a further source of inspiration concerning his creations the young Vienna gentleman often searches for experiencing the high-speed limits with his 900 cm³ YAMAHA TDM, thus there is so way to miss his maxim “no risk – no fun”.
